Starting next month, Dubai residents who have maintained clean visa records for the past 10 years will be eligible for exclusive rewards under a new initiative by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA-Dubai). The campaign, dubbed ‘The Ideal Face,’ aims to reward individuals, including those under sponsorship and work visas, who have complied with residency regulations.
According to a The National report, Emiratis sponsoring workers with a decade of flawless records will also benefit from the scheme. Perks include fast-tracking visa services at Amer centres, priority at Ammer call centres, and home services for elderly visa-related needs.
To qualify, residents must sign an obligation certificate on the GDRFA-Dubai website, which will be reviewed before issuing a digital certificate. Violations such as late renewals of visas or Emirates IDs, or incurring overstay fines, will disqualify applicants.
This initiative aligns with the UAE’s efforts to encourage positive behaviors and compliance with residency laws. It coincides with the ongoing visa amnesty, running until October 31, which allows overstayers to regularize their status without facing fines.
