Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that public parking across the city will be free of charge on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in celebration of the New Year’s holiday. However, multi-storey parking facilities will remain paid. Regular parking fees will resume on Thursday, January 2.
In line with the holiday, RTA also detailed its service schedule adjustments, including extended operations for the Dubai Metro and Tram. The Metro will run non-stop for over 43 hours, from 5 AM on December 31 until the end of January 1, while the Tram will operate from 6 AM on December 31 until 1 AM on January 2.
Bus routes E100 and E102, connecting Dubai to Abu Dhabi and Shabiya Musaffah, will be temporarily suspended from December 31 to January 1. Passengers can use alternative routes from Ibn Battuta Bus Station during this period.
Marine transport, including Dubai Ferry, Water Taxi, and Abras, will follow revised schedules. Tourist and regular services will operate at specified intervals to accommodate holiday travelers.
Additionally, RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres and affiliated service providers will be closed on January 1, resuming regular operations on January 2.
