Private school students in Dubai will have the option to attend classes remotely on Fridays throughout the holy month of Ramadan. However, students with scheduled in-person exams on Fridays will be required to attend school as usual.
Authorities have also encouraged schools to accommodate families for whom online learning may not be feasible by allowing students to attend in person. The directive was issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE.
Similarly, the UAE’s Ministry of Education has announced that public school students will also follow remote learning on Fridays during Ramadan, except those who have mandatory in-person exams. Parents who prefer their children to attend school physically on Fridays will be responsible for their transportation.
