Dubai, renowned for its ambition and innovation, is once again leading the way in advanced law enforcement technology. The Dubai Police General Command has unveiled its latest addition to its luxury patrol fleet—a Tesla Cybertruck, distinguished by its striking green and white livery.
Back in November 2019, Dubai Police teased the idea of incorporating Tesla’s new Cybertruck into their patrol fleet by sharing a photo of the futuristic vehicle, adorned with the police badge and colors. Fast forward to 2024, this vision has become a reality. The force showcased the electric truck on social media, featuring a unique plate number 5, with the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, seen closely following the vehicle.
The Dubai Police supercar fleet is famous for its collection of high-performance vehicles, including the Lamborghini Aventador, Audi R8 Coupé V10, Bentley Continental GT, McLaren MP4-12C, Aston Martin One-77, Mercedes-AMG GT63 S, Maserati GranTurismo, Bugatti Veyron, Toyota 2021 GR Supra, and more. The addition of the Cybertruck underscores the city’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into its law enforcement capabilities.
The Cybertruck, known for its distinctive, angular design, is constructed from ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel, providing exceptional durability and protection against dents and corrosion. It also features Tesla Armour Glass, designed to be highly resistant to impacts.
The Cybertruck comes in three main versions with varying ranges and capabilities. The Single Motor RWD model offers a range of over 250 miles and a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds. The Dual Motor AWD model has a range of over 300 miles and can tow up to 10,000 pounds. The top-tier Tri Motor AWD version boasts a range of over 500 miles and a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds, accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in under 2.9 seconds.
Inside, the Cybertruck is spacious, seating up to six adults, and features a 17-inch touchscreen display. It includes Tesla’s Autopilot as standard, with Full Self-Driving capability available as an optional upgrade. The truck bed, known as the “vault,” offers 100 cubic feet of lockable storage space and an onboard power inverter for 110V and 220V electricity.
Tesla’s Cybertruck is available for pre-order in three versions: the rear-wheel drive model estimated at $57,390, the all-wheel drive at $76,390, and the Cyberbeast at $96,390.
