A video released by the Government of Dubai Media Office captured the heartwarming moment as the cat clung desperately to a partially submerged car door amidst the flooding. Quick-thinking rescuers carefully separated the feline from the precarious perch and safely transferred it into a rescue boat.
The UAE witnessed widespread devastation caused by the rare storm, with at least one fatality reported and numerous homes and businesses sustaining damage from the heavy rains. Emergency crews across the country initiated cleanup efforts on Wednesday, grappling with debris and flooded roads in the aftermath of the downpour that subsided late Tuesday (April 16).
