Dubai Police successfully rescued five hikers stranded on hazardous terrain in Hatta, following a distress call to the Command and Control Centre. The hikers, unable to descend safely, were airlifted to safety by the Air Wing Centre team using a helicopter equipped with a winch.
Colonel Khalfan Salem Al Mazroui, acting director of the Air Wing Centre, explained that the team quickly responded despite challenging conditions and the lack of a safe landing area. Paramedics were lowered to the hikers’ location, and after ensuring their well-being, no hospitalisation was required.
