Dubai Police reorganise emirate into urban and rural zones to enhance public safety

Dubai Police have unveiled a new strategy to divide the city into “urban” and “rural” zones, aiming to improve response times and strengthen public safety across the emirate.

The initiative, announced via the force’s official X account and website, is designed to streamline police operations by allocating resources more effectively and integrating advanced technologies, including AI and smart systems.

According to Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Criminal Investigation Affairs, the reorganisation will allow for a more targeted deployment of police personnel and patrols, enhancing performance in areas such as crime prevention and traffic management.

Brigadier Turki bin Faris echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that the new structure will support faster police responses and better security coverage, especially in emergencies. He added that the changes align with Dubai’s broader vision to build a safer and more responsive city.

Part of the Dubai Urban Plan 2024, the move reinforces the city’s long-standing commitment to ensuring safety and happiness for all residents and visitors.
