Dubai Police officer praised for extraordinary act of kindness towards accident victim

A touching act of kindness has garnered praise and admiration for Corporal Nasser Fateh Muhammad of the Dubai Police, when he went above and beyond his duty to assist a bedridden Canadian woman, Parin Naseer, at the Bur Dubai police station.

Ms. Naseer, a long-time UAE resident, took to social media platform X to recount her challenging day at the police station where she was providing evidence related to a tragic accident she faced in June. She wrote of her physical exhaustion after the hours-long ordeal, explaining that she was unable to walk to her car.

Corporal Nasser observed her distress and immediately stepped in. He assisted Parin, ensuring she was safely transferred from the borrowed wheelchair to her vehicle parked at a distance. To further display his commitment, he then returned to the station to retrieve her friend’s Emirates ID card which had been used as collateral for the wheelchair.

In subsequent posts, Ms. Naseer expressed her heartfelt appreciation for Corporal Nasser and also praised Sergeant Bader Ghulam Safar, emphasizing their commitment to their roles and their compassionate nature.

Recalling the harrowing accident that left her bedridden, Parin shared with Khaleej Times about her month-long hospitalization and the multiple fractures she endured, including injuries to her ribs and bones. The accident, she mentioned, took place shortly before she was scheduled to travel to Canada.

However, in the midst of her adversity, Parin saw a glimmer of hope. “Dubai Police are admired around the world,” she commented. “Always looking out for our safety and security. This is what truly sets them apart. God bless Dubai Police.”
