Dubai opens free public access to UAE SWAT Challenge 2026

Free admission has been opened to the public for the UAE SWAT Challenge 2026, with organisers making tickets available through Virgin Megastore ahead of the international police competition’s return to Dubai this February.

The five-day event, scheduled from February 7 to 11, will take place at Training City in Al Ruwayyah and will welcome families, fans, and visitors of all ages at no cost. Organisers say the open-access format is intended to widen public engagement while showcasing the skills of elite law enforcement units in a setting designed to be accessible and family-oriented.

Now in its seventh edition, the challenge brings together specialised police, tactical, and rapid intervention teams from countries around the world. Spectators will be able to watch teams compete in a series of operational scenarios that highlight coordination, speed, decision-making, and physical endurance, while also participating in on-site community activities.

Attendance figures from previous editions point to rising interest. In 2025, more than 18,000 people reserved free tickets through the same platform, an increase from the 12,999 bookings recorded the year before.

Competition on the field will be spread across five distinct challenges, each designed to reflect real-world operational demands faced by specialised units. Teams accumulate points daily, with overall rankings determined by combined performance across all events.
