Dubai named Asia’s easiest city to explore on foot, survey finds

Dubai has been recognized as the most walkable city in Asia, according to a survey by Preply.com. The survey ranked cities based on the ease of exploring key attractions on foot within a single day.

Tourists in Dubai can navigate the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and visit the Dubai Museum while sampling local delicacies throughout the day. The entire walking route covers just 1.9 miles (3.1 kilometers) and takes around 44 minutes, with an average of 3,800 steps. This highlights Dubai’s commitment to pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, making it an ideal destination for tourists who prefer walking.

Downtown Dubai and Dubai Marina are particularly popular for their dedicated walking paths, allowing visitors to explore the city’s vibrant atmosphere on foot. However, during the intense summer heat, tourists are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions.

Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City, Yerevan, and Singapore also ranked among the top five most walkable cities in Asia.
