Dubai has announced the establishment of the National University of Dubai, backed by an initial investment of Dh4.5 billion. The university will offer specialized academic programs aimed at preparing future generations for global competitiveness, Khaleej Times reported.
The university’s mission is to rank among the top 50 young universities worldwide over the next decade and excel in research and academic innovation. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, emphasized this vision in a social media post, stating that the goal is to develop a new generation capable of adapting to rapid global changes.
The National University of Dubai will uphold a distinctly Emirati identity, with programs designed to support the UAE’s developmental objectives while equipping graduates to thrive on the international stage. The initiative falls under the Dubai Social Agenda 33, a ten-year strategy that prioritizes education and family welfare as part of the UAE’s broader development goals.
