Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the introduction of direct bus services from Business Bay Metro Station to several other key metro stations. This move aims to “ensure seamless commutes” for residents and tourists alike.
Starting immediately, passengers can access buses from Exit 2 at the Business Bay station. These buses will connect to OnPassive, Mall of the Emirates, Equiti, Mashreq, Al Khail, and Dubai Internet City stations.
Additionally, RTA confirmed that normal operations at four Dubai Metro stations—OnPassive, Equity, Mashreq, and Energy—will resume by May 28. These stations were temporarily closed due to the severe rainfall that affected the region in mid-April.
In response to increasing demand, RTA has also expanded the ‘Bus on Demand’ service within the Business Bay area. This flexible service, accessible through the ‘Dubai Bus On Demand’ app, features 14-seater buses that can be summoned to a nearby location to meet specific user requests. This service is now available in Al Barsha, Al Nahda, Dubai Silicon Oasis, and Business Bay.
