Dubai International to welcome 4.3 million guests by mid-January, its busiest start yet

Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up for its busiest January, expecting to handle 4.3 million travelers in the first 15 days of the year. Daily passenger numbers are predicted to peak on January 3, with over 311,000 guests passing through.

During this period, DXB is averaging 287,000 travelers daily, marking an 8% increase compared to the same timeframe in 2024 and a 6% rise from pre-pandemic levels in 2018-19. These figures highlight the airport’s ability to operate at near-record volumes, catering to global travel demand efficiently.

The surge is driven by international visitors departing after the festive season and residents returning from holidays.
