Dubai’s Public Prosecution has declared stringent measures against individuals engaging in illicit activities involving confidential government information or data. According to the announcement, offenders will be subjected to a significant penalty of no less than Dh500,000 along with a minimum jail term of seven years under the rumours and cybercrime law.
The directive aims to deter unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of sensitive government data. Any individual found guilty of obtaining, defying, disclosing, modifying, exposing, or deleting such information without proper authorization will face severe consequences.
