Dubai government to upgrade public beaches to world-class standards

The Dubai Government, following directives from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is set to elevate its public beaches to world-class standards.

The Dubai Urban Master Plan 2040’s social media account confirmed this announcement, highlighting that His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has announced two contracts for the development of Al-Mamzar Beach and Jumeirah (1). The development projects, expected to last around 18 months, will still allow partial public access to these beaches.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the plan detailed numerous upgrades and additions aimed at enhancing recreational activities. New health and public service facilities such as restrooms, shower areas, and changing rooms will be provided. Advanced technology will be implemented, including safety deposit boxes, Wi-Fi internet services, electronic screens, and beach rescue services utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
