Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced on Friday, March 21, that civilian employees of Dubai Government will receive a performance bonus totaling Dh277 million.
Approved by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the bonus acknowledges the dedication and efforts of civilian government staff. Sheikh Hamdan praised their contributions, emphasizing their role in enhancing government services and Dubai’s international reputation.
“We are confident that with your efforts, Dubai will continue to rise on the global stage,” Sheikh Hamdan stated.
This substantial incentive follows a similar initiative in 2023, when Dh152 million in bonuses were distributed to government civilian workers.
The announcement aligns with recent reports indicating that around 75 percent of UAE residents anticipate receiving bonuses in 2025, reflecting a broader trend where employees in rapidly expanding industries such as technology, banking, healthcare, and consultancy have earned notably large bonuses in 2024.
