Dubai Municipality has announced the completion of two new family entertainment parks in the Al Warqa 1 and 4 districts, marking a significant milestone in the fourth phase of its comprehensive plan to enhance residential communities in Dubai with recreational facilities.
The projects, which incurred an investment of Dh8 million, aim to furnish locals with vibrant spaces designed to host family events and occasions.
The Director-General of Dubai Municipality, Dawoud Al Hajri, revealed that the newly constructed parks house a plethora of amenities including kiosks and zones designated for sports and entertainment activities, enhancing the family-friendly appeal of the districts.
Al Hajri outlined the ambitious blueprint that guides the initiative: the establishment of four key family squares, two of which have now reached completion.
Construction work for the remaining squares is underway in Al Nahda 1 and Hor Al Anz East, with a timeline set for completion in the coming months.
Reiterating the municipality’s commitment to fostering community development, Al Hajri disclosed plans to construct 125 parks, family entertainment squares, and playgrounds across the emirate, amounting to a total investment of Dh93 million.
A considerable chunk of this project has already been realized, with 70 facilities having been built between 2019 and 2021 in citizen housing areas.
The Director-General confirmed that there would be a launch of 55 additional family parks and squares in the near future, encapsulating the municipality’s vision to enrich the lives of the residents with modern, family-centric recreational options.
