In its latest travel update, Emirates has banned passengers from carrying pagers and walkie-talkies in both checked-in and cabin baggage on flights to, from, or via Dubai. According to a Khaleej Times report, the airline warned that these items will be confiscated by Dubai Police if found in passengers’ luggage.
Additionally, following an attack on Hezbollah’s communication devices, travelers to and from Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport in Lebanon have been prohibited from carrying these devices since September 19.
Currently, Emirates has suspended flights between Dubai and several Middle Eastern countries, including Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, and Jordan, due to regional instability. These flights are expected to remain suspended until October 5. Flydubai and Etihad Airways have resumed services to select destinations in the region.
