The Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is set to return for another 30 days of fitness activities from October 26 to November 24. Initiated in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, DFC encourages residents and visitors to stay active by dedicating 30 minutes daily to physical exercise for a full month.
This year’s challenge will feature a variety of free sports and community-led fitness events, catering to people of all ages and fitness levels. Highlights include the popular Dubai Ride and Dubai Run, where participants can cycle or run past some of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Last year’s event saw over 2.4 million participants, with over 35,000 cyclists and more than 226,000 runners taking part. This year, DFC aims to continue fostering a community spirit and promote a healthier lifestyle across Dubai, with events like the Dubai Stand-Up Paddle on November 2, Dubai Ride on November 10, and Dubai Run on November 24. The initiative is part of Dubai’s broader goal to become one of the world’s most active cities.
