In a life-changing moment, Bangladeshi expat Mantu Chandradas won Dh1 million in the Big Ticket draw held on August 3. Mantu, a 44-year-old father living in Dubai since 2004, learned about Big Ticket from Facebook and decided to try his luck.
“I usually purchase my tickets online, but this was my first time buying a ticket from the Big Ticket store at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi,” said Mantu in a Khaleej Times report. “I went there to pick up a friend, and a sales associate informed me about the ‘Buy 2 Get 3’ offer. I decided to try my luck with five tickets. I didn’t expect that one of the free tickets would change my life.”
Mantu discovered his win through his father-in-law, who regularly buys Big Ticket. “My father-in-law checked the website and saw my name. He sent me a screenshot asking if it was my ticket. I confirmed it was me, but even then, I couldn’t believe it. My wife still finds it hard to believe,” Mantu shared.
Mantu plans to use the prize money to improve his life and help his family. “This prize is a blessing from God,” he said, encouraging others to try their luck with Big Ticket.
In addition to Mantu, ten other cash prize winners were announced, each receiving Dh100,000. The winners come from the UAE, India, the Philippines, and Iran.
Throughout August, customers purchasing Big Tickets have a chance to win Dh15 million in the live draw on September 3. Additionally, buyers are entered into a daily electronic draw for Dh50,000 and can win a luxurious Range Rover Velar worth Dh325,000 in the next live draw.
