A Singaporean expatriate residing in Dubai has hit the jackpot, winning Dh1 million in the weekly e-draw of Big Ticket Abu Dhabi. M. Rao, who has called Dubai home since 2013, began participating in the raffle in 2019, albeit occasionally.
The stroke of luck came Rao’s way through a free ticket obtained during a limited-period promotional offer running from December 8 to 10. Rao recounted the experience, saying, “I saw an ad on Instagram about the special offer: Buy 2, Get 2. This prompted me to buy tickets, and shockingly, one of the complimentary tickets was the winning entry!”
Upon being informed of his win by Big Ticket representatives, Rao expressed his joy and gratitude. Despite the unexpected windfall, Rao is yet to decide on how to utilize his prize money. He shared, “I haven’t really thought about it, but I intend to spend it wisely. A portion will definitely go towards the education of my two children.”
Big Ticket Abu Dhabi is continuing its promotional streak throughout the month. Every ticket purchase grants buyers a shot at winning Dh20 million in the upcoming live draw, along with a chance to be the lucky recipient of Dh1 million in the weekly electronic draw.
