Dubai event to treat Pinoy kasambahays with medical checkups, beauty services, and raffle prizes

Filipino domestic workers in Dubai are set to gather once again for a day dedicated entirely to their welfare, recognition, and celebration as the Migrant Workers Office – Dubai & Northern Emirates (MWO-Dubai), together with partner Filipino community organizations, holds Salamat Kabayan Year 4 on December 6, 2025, at Al Hudaibia School in Al Thar Second, Al Twar 2, Dubai, near the Al Qusais Metro Station. The program runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Salamat Kabayan is one of MWO-Dubai’s flagship initiatives for household workers, providing them with access to frontline government services, health support, and community engagement activities. Past editions of the event have been known for combining official assistance with cultural festivities, bridging services to workers who often face limited days off or barriers in reaching government offices.

This year’s edition carries the theme “Araw ng Kasambahay sa Piling ng Pasko,” highlighting the spirit of appreciation as the Christmas season approaches. The event offers a full roster of activities, including MWO services, free medical consultations, free beauty services, entertainment, food, games, and a raffle with exciting prizes. These offerings reflect MWO-Dubai’s broader effort to make essential support more accessible while creating a festive environment where domestic workers can relax, connect, and celebrate with their community.

Salamat Kabayan also serves as a strategic outreach program, bringing government services directly to domestic workers—many of whom live in their employers’ homes and may have limited mobility. Through this annual gathering, participants gain opportunities to ask questions about their contracts, renew memberships, receive health checks, and learn about their rights and benefits.
