Dubai crown prince turns to Instagram followers for help naming his new puppy

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, engaged his Instagram followers in a special task this weekend—helping him choose a name for his new female puppy.

The Crown Prince, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, shared a photo of the white-and-grey puppy on his Instagram Stories, where he boasts 16.7 million followers, with the simple caption: “Female name please.”

Sheikh Hamdan is known for his love of animals and often shares moments with his pets on social media. This isn’t the first time he has reached out to his followers for naming suggestions. Last year, he posted a video featuring three lively dogs and asked for help in naming them. Eventually, he selected Layl for the male and Mizoon and Nahar for the two females, thanking his followers for their input.
