A driver along with two pedestrians were fined for their respective roles in a traffic accident that resulted in injuries in a recent ruling by the Dubai Traffic Court. The incident, involving an Arab driver and two Asian pedestrians, unfolded when the pedestrians attempted to cross the road from an undesignated area, leading to their collision with the vehicle.
The court found the driver guilty of not adhering to traffic rules and failing to pay attention to the road, which contributed to the accident. Consequently, the driver was fined Dh2,000. The pedestrians were not without blame, as the court also convicted them for their reckless action of crossing from an undesignated area, imposing a fine of Dh400 on each.
Evidence presented in the form of medical reports confirmed the injuries sustained by the pedestrians.
