A cutting-edge AI recruitment platform is being launched by a Dubai-based hiring firm, set to revolutionize the job interview process. Starting December, candidates will be interviewed by an AI avatar on a lifelike “virtual stage” using voice and proximity chat systems.
Designed to streamline hiring, the platform utilizes open-source AI technologies and gaming elements. Employers can easily set up accounts, input job descriptions, and schedule AI-driven pre-screening interviews. Candidates, on the other hand, can access the platform via computer, laptop, mobile, or VR headset, and the AI will pose questions relevant to their profile. Furthermore, the AI will assess interviewees’ body language via webcam.
“Simulated interviews on the platform provide immediate feedback, enhancing interviewees’ preparation,” said Aws Ismail, Director at Marc Ellis in a Khaleej Times report.
It addresses a frequent complaint among job seekers: the lack of feedback. The platform’s VR capability also enables candidates to practice in real-world environments, which helps combat nerves.
Artificial Intelligence Virtual Interview (AIVI) offers immediate performance feedback, significantly reducing the time traditionally spent on interviews.
“AIVI’s AI tailors questions based on profile information and provides instant grading, aligned with job criteria and response depth,” Ismail noted.
The technology can save significant time for hiring managers, with Ismail pointing out that managers typically spend around 30 days a year on interviews. The platform’s efficiency allows them to redirect their focus to other vital tasks.
Other recruitment agencies are also exploring AI platforms. Jaya Bhatia, CEO & Founder of Expert Hub Robotics, stated that robots are aiding the recruitment process by handling initial candidate interactions, making it more cost-effective and efficient. Their company has developed various AI solutions, including a robot interviewer and HR bots to further assist the recruitment process.
