The Filipino community in Dubai is set to celebrate the Santo Niño Festival, also known as TIFL MUQADDAS, on January 26, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Dubai. The festival, announced by the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Filipino (SMCCFilipino) group, will run from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and is expected to bring together Filipinos and other devotees in a joyous celebration of faith and culture.
This year’s theme, “Pag-asa at Gabay ng mga Manlalakbay” (Hope and Guidance for Travelers), resonates deeply with the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families, emphasizing the Santo Niño’s role as a beacon of hope and spiritual guidance, especially for those navigating life away from their homeland.
The Santo Niño Festival holds a special place in the hearts of Filipinos. It commemorates the introduction of Christianity in the Philippines and celebrates the enduring devotion to the Santo Niño (Holy Child Jesus), an iconic symbol of faith and resilience.
