Dubai-based Filipino choir Chorus Omnis wins top award at ChoirFest Middle East 2026

Chorus Omnis, an all-male Filipino choir based in Dubai, has been named “Choir of the Year” in the adult category at ChoirFest Middle East 2026, following its participation in the regional competition held on February 15, 2026.

The achievement marks a major milestone for the group, which is composed largely of Filipino singers and is known for representing the Filipino community in the UAE through choral performances and cultural showcases.

Chorus Omnis has consistently maintained a strong presence in Dubai’s performing arts scene, staging annual public concerts and taking part in various choral events across the country. Their most recent public performance was the concert “A Tribute to Peace,” held at The Fridge, one of Dubai’s known independent live music venues.

The choir is led by Marc Misael Suico Gamil, who serves as its music director. Under his guidance, Chorus Omnis has developed a repertoire that includes sacred works, folk-inspired pieces, classical selections, and contemporary arrangements.

ChoirFest Middle East is widely recognized as one of the region’s leading choral festivals and competitions, attracting school, community, university, and adult choirs from across the Middle East. The event was established in 2013 by Shelley Frost, co-founder of The Fridge, and composer Joanna Marsh.

The 2026 edition was hosted at Hartland International School in Dubai, featuring multi-day activities that included workshops, live performances, and competitive divisions across different age groups. Awards were also presented in multiple categories, including Best Solo Performance, Best Artistic Impact, and other major recognitions.
