Filipino Catholics in Dubai with a passion for music now have the chance to share their talent while serving the Church, as three major choirs at St. Mary’s Church are actively seeking new members.
The Christian Voices Chorale – Dubai Vocal Ensemble (CVC-DVE) is holding auditions every Sunday until June 29. Open to musically gifted Filipino Catholics, the auditions begin at 7:30 AM in Room 1, above the Mini Hall at St. Mary’s Church on Oud Metha Road. Known for their longstanding service to the community, the group sings during the 6:00 AM morning Mass every Sunday. Interested individuals may contact Rico at 050-2446495 for more information.
The Shepherd’s Lamb Chorale is also inviting Filipino singers and musicians to join their ministry. Regular choir practice is scheduled every Wednesday at 7:00 PM. Their service schedule includes the 6:15 PM Mass on the 1st and 5th Sundays, and the 7:30 PM Mass on the 2nd and 3rd Saturdays. Canticle Choir, another vibrant group under St. Mary’s Church, is now open for auditions. They are calling on all Filipinos who wish to glorify God through music to join their ranks. The choir serves during the English Mass every Monday at 7:00 PM and also sings during the 12:00 PM Tagalog Mass on Sundays as part of the Pilipino Choir.
