Dubai announces free parking for two days during National Day holiday

Dubai residents can enjoy two days of free public parking during the UAE National Day holiday, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Parking fees will be waived from Monday, December 2, to Tuesday, December 3, with the exception of multi-storey parking facilities.

The free parking period effectively extends to three days, as no charges apply on Sundays. This coincides with a four-day weekend for most residents, as December 2 and 3 have been declared paid holidays for both public and private sectors.

All educational institutions, including private schools, nurseries, and universities, will also remain closed on these dates, with regular classes resuming on Wednesday, December 4.

The UAE, celebrating its 53rd National Day, now called Eid Al Etihad, commemorates the unification of the Emirates in 1971. This year’s official celebrations will take place in Al Ain, showcasing the region’s stunning natural landscapes and attended by the country’s leaders.
