Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services successfully transported donated organs, saving four lives in coordination with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and other government agencies. The operation, supported by Dubai Police and the National Centre for Regulating Organ and Tissue Transplantation, ensured rapid delivery to three hospitals using a helicopter.
Part of the Hayat organ donation program, the initiative has contributed to over 200 transplants, with Rashid Hospital leading the efforts. Since 2016, Dubai Health has performed 160 kidney transplants, including 54 for children.
To support families, Dubai Health established a Hayat lounge at Rashid Hospital, while Al Jalila Foundation’s 2024 campaign raised Dh46 million to aid kidney failure patients.
