During the Eid Al Adha holidays, spanning from June 15 to 18, Dubai’s airports saw a substantial influx of travelers, with 562,347 passengers recorded by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). The holiday period not only attracted tourists but also supported pilgrims traveling to Makkah for Haj.
The GDRFA has implemented measures to ensure smooth transit for those returning from the pilgrimage, including a special stamp to welcome them. Lt-Gen Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, director-general of the GDRFA, highlighted Dubai’s appeal as a safe and premier destination for tourists and expatriates alike.
Al Marri also commended the dedication of GDRFA staff who worked through the holiday to assist travelers, reinforcing the emirate’s commitment to providing high-quality and secure services.
