Drones, fireworks, and heritage: What’s in store for Eid Al Etihad at Global Village

Global Village, the region’s iconic multicultural destination, is gearing up to celebrate the UAE’s 53rd National Day, Eid Al Etihad, with a series of vibrant activities and unique attractions from November 25 to December 4, 2024. This year’s celebrations align with the nationwide #ZayedAndRashid campaign, honoring the UAE’s founding fathers and fostering a sense of national pride.

The venue will feature stunning decorations inspired by the UAE’s spirit of unity, with its gates and landmarks illuminated in the colors of the UAE flag. Cultural performances will be a key highlight, including the grand theatrical operetta Hawa Emarati, performed on the Main Stage from December 1 to 3. This captivating show, featuring over 40 performers, tells the story of an Emirati wedding intertwined with the historical union of the UAE in 1971.

Adding to the festivities, traditional Emirati bands such as Liwa and Harbiyah will perform throughout the park, while nightly fireworks displays from November 29 to December 3 will light up the sky in the UAE’s national colors. On December 2, a spectacular drone show themed around #ZayedAndRashid will debut, offering guests an immersive visual experience.

Visitors can also explore unique shopping opportunities at the UAE Pavilion, 971 Community Pavilion, and the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation Pavilion, where Emirati handicrafts and souvenirs will be available. For food lovers, authentic Emirati delicacies like Luqaimat and Ragag Bread will be served at kiosks across the park.
