Motorists are being advised to take extra care as fog blanketed parts of the UAE on Friday morning, leading to reduced visibility in some areas. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a red alert for Dubai and Abu Dhabi, warning residents about poor visibility in coastal and inland areas until 9 am. This marks the third consecutive day of early morning fog alerts, as the country transitions into autumn.
The NCM urged drivers to slow down and adhere to traffic regulations, especially in areas under red and yellow alerts.
While the overall weather is expected to be clear and partly cloudy at times, thicker clouds may form in the afternoon. Humidity levels are expected to rise by evening, with fog predicted to persist on Saturday morning.
Temperatures could reach up to 42°C in Abu Dhabi and 38°C in Dubai. Winds will be light to moderate, occasionally becoming active with speeds of up to 35 km/h. Both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to have light waves.
