Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon has ordered the permanent cancellation of the license of a motorist caught counterflowing along the Skyway in the early hours of Saturday.
In a Facebook post, the Department of Transportation shared CCTV footage taken around 3:32 a.m., showing the vehicle driving against traffic and heading straight toward oncoming cars.
“Hindi pu-puwede na suspendido lang ang lisensiya ng driver na ito dahil kitang kita naman sa CCTV footage na inilagay niya sa peligro ang buhay ng mga driver ng kasalubong niyang sasakyan. Ipinag-utos ko na i-revoke na nang tuluyan ang driver’s license ng pasaway na driver na ito nang hindi na pamarisan ang reckless driving niya,” Dizon said.
He urged the public to continue reporting similar incidents to the DOTr so they can take swift action against reckless motorists.
