Drive in style: Dubai RTA’s online auction features 350 rare vehicle number plates

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has commenced its 75th online auction, offering 350 distinctive number plates for private, vintage vehicles, and motorbikes. The plates feature three, four, and five digits, carrying A-H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X codes.

Registration for interested bidders opened on Monday, April 15th, with bidding commencing at 8 am local time. The auction will run until April 22nd, providing ample opportunity for enthusiasts to secure their desired number plates.

Potential buyers should note that the sale of licensing plates in this auction is subject to a five percent Value Added Tax (VAT). Moreover, each bidder must possess a Traffic File opened in Dubai, submit a security cheque amounting to Dh5,000 payable to RTA, and pay a non-refundable participation fee of Dh120.

Payment methods are flexible, allowing participants to pay at Customer Happiness Centers located at Umm Al Ramool, Al Barsha, or Deira. Alternatively, payments can be made via credit card on the official RTA website (www.rta.ae) or through the Dubai Drive app.
