Double murder complaint filed against mastermind’s wife in Arvin and Lerma Lulu case

The spouse of the suspected mastermind behind the killing of online sellers Arvin and Lerma Lulu is now facing a double murder complaint. This development follows the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) investigation, with initial evidence indicating her involvement in the crime, according to PNP PRO-3 Regional Director Police Brigadier General Redrico Maranan.

Witness statements and other evidence suggest that she was present during conversations between the mastermind, identified as Anthony Limon, and the hired gunmen. The PNP is also coordinating with the Bureau of Immigration for a lookout bulletin to monitor her whereabouts.

Arvin and Lerma, both beauty product sellers, were gunned down in their vehicle on October 4 by motorcycle-riding assailants. Arvin sustained six gunshot wounds, while Lerma was shot three times. Their six-year-old child and Lerma’s teenage cousin, who were in the car, were unharmed.

Authorities believe the motive behind the murder was a P13 million debt owed to the couple by Limon. Limon allegedly hired gunmen through a middleman, paying P900,000 to have the couple killed and to steal a check and two mobile phones.

The police arrested Limon and six other suspects on October 15. They are facing double murder charges and, if convicted, could face reclusion perpetua, a 40-year prison sentence, and a lifetime ban from holding public office.

PNP Chief Rommel Marbil emphasized the importance of swift justice, stating that the police will not rest until victims of violence receive the justice they deserve.
