Sole DXB, Dubai’s premier festival celebrating street culture, music, and art, is set to return for its 12th edition from December 13 to 15, 2024, at the Dubai Design District (d3). This year’s event promises an expanded experience with the introduction of a second stage, extended hours from 3 PM to 2 AM, and a diverse lineup spanning genres such as hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and world music.

Friday, December 13:

James Blake: The Grammy Award-winning British artist is renowned for his innovative fusion of electronic music with soulful vocals. Blake has collaborated with industry giants like Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, and Kendrick Lamar. His performance is highly anticipated as he takes the main stage on the opening night.

The Joy: This emerging band is set to bring their unique sound to the main stage, adding a fresh dynamic to the festival’s opening night.

Saturday, December 14:

Tems: Hailing from Nigeria, Tems has rapidly ascended in the global music scene with her soulful blend of Afrobeats and R&B. Known for hits like “Free Mind” and her collaboration on Wizkid’s “Essence,” she will grace the main stage, marking her UAE debut.

JID: The Grammy-nominated rapper from Atlanta is celebrated for his intricate lyricism and dynamic flow. As a member of J. Cole’s Dreamville Records, JID’s performance is expected to be a highlight of the festival.

Marwan Pablo: Representing Egypt, Marwan Pablo is a pioneering figure in the Arabic trap music scene. His energetic performances have garnered a substantial following across the Middle East.

Show Dem Camp: This Nigerian rap duo blends Afrobeat rhythms with insightful lyrics, offering a unique sound that resonates with diverse audiences.

Hev Abi: A rising Filipino rapper, Hev Abi gained prominence with his viral hit “WELCOME2DTQ” in 2023. Known for his unique blend of rap and melodic vocals, he co-founded Downtown Q Entertainment, an independent record label. The Roots: Closing the festival, the legendary American hip-hop band The Roots are known for their eclectic approach, incorporating live instrumentation into their performances. With multiple Grammy Awards to their name, their set is poised to be a memorable finale.

Latto: An emerging talent in the rap scene, Latto brings a bold and confident style that has quickly captured mainstream attention.

Hanumankind: This Indian hip-hop artist has made waves with his viral hit “Big Dawgs,” showcasing his versatility and global appeal.

Hamza: Bringing a unique blend of trap and melodic tunes, Hamza’s performance is anticipated to add a distinctive flavor to the festival’s closing day.
