In an effort to combat the fashion industry’s considerable waste and provide aid to those in need, Being Human Clothing in Dubai has initiated a clothing donation drive this Ramadan. With the industry producing over 100 billion items annually, and nearly 92 million tonnes ending up in landfills, this drive offers a chance to make a meaningful impact. Hosted at the Being Human Store in City Centre Deira, the campaign encourages the donation of gently used clothes, rewarding contributors with a AED 25 voucher for every kilogram of clothing donated, redeemable at any Being Human Clothing store.
Bipin Mulani, Director of Top Brands LLC, the master franchisee of Being Human Clothing, emphasizes the importance of giving back, especially during the sacred month of Ramadan. “Our initiative aims to foster a sense of community and compassion,” Mulani stated, highlighting the goal to not only aid those less fortunate but also to inspire a broader spirit of generosity and sustainability within the community.
Participants are encouraged to spread the word and make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged, reinforcing the notion that simple acts of kindness can create a wave of goodwill and bring us closer together.
