A dog named Cecil left its owners astounded after consuming $4,000 in cash in a bizarre incident in Pittsburgh. The owners, Clayton and Carrie Law, discovered the shredded banknotes after the dog had its unlikely feast.
The money, withdrawn for a backyard renovation, was left unattended on a kitchen countertop by Clayton Law. Upon his return, he was greeted by the sight of Cecil standing amidst the remains of the banknotes.
The aftermath involved Clayton cleaning the cash, which had been soiled with vomit and excrement. Carrie Law mentioned that their bank had agreed to replace the notes, provided most of the serial numbers were intact.
The Laws described the incident as completely out of character for Cecil, who had never previously shown such behavior. Fortunately, they managed to recover most of the money.
