Doc Willie Ong shares health update, says cancer remains stable

Cardiologist and popular vlogger Doc Willie Ong shared a hopeful update with his followers on Monday, saying that his cancer is currently “stable.”

Ong, 61, had earlier withdrawn from the senatorial race for the upcoming May midterm elections to prioritize his health after being diagnosed with stage 4 sarcoma. Last year, he revealed that doctors had discovered a large mass in his abdomen.

In a heartfelt message to his 17 million Facebook followers, Ong expressed gratitude for the support and prayers he continues to receive.

According to Ong, his cancer has not grown but has not shrunk either. He is currently undergoing immunotherapy to manage the disease, which, based on cancer.org, is rarely curable once it reaches stage 4.

Despite the uncertainty, Ong remains thankful.

He remains optimistic that the cancer will continue to stay stable as he focuses on spending meaningful time with his family and supporters.
