Aster DM Healthcare has officially launched the fourth edition of the Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award, inviting nurses worldwide to apply for a chance to win the prestigious USD 250,000 prize. The award aims to recognize outstanding contributions to healthcare while celebrating the dedication and transformative impact of nurses in various fields.
Registered nurses can submit their applications through www.asterguardians.com. Applicants are encouraged to highlight their achievements in areas such as Patient Care, Nursing Leadership, Nursing Education, Social or Community Service, and Research Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Healthcare. They may select one Primary and up to two Secondary areas to showcase their multifaceted contributions.
The selection process will be managed by an independent jury, with Ernst & Young LLP (EY) overseeing the evaluation. A Grand Jury comprising global healthcare experts will determine the top 10 finalists, with the winner to be announced in May 2025, coinciding with International Nurses Day.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, described the award as a platform to honor and empower nurses. “Each edition uncovers extraordinary stories of resilience, innovation, and care, inspiring us to continue celebrating their remarkable contributions,” he said.
The award has recognized remarkable achievements since its inception. Past winners include Nurse Maria Victoria Juan from the Philippines, who won in 2024 for her pioneering work in aeromedical evacuation and environmental health initiatives, and Nurse Anna Qabale Duba from Kenya, who claimed the inaugural award in 2022.
Applications for the 2025 edition are now open, offering nurses an opportunity to showcase their impactful work on a global stage.
