DMW widens aid for returning OFWs with full-cycle support

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is ramping up its reintegration initiatives to ensure returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are fully supported as they transition back to life in the Philippines.

DMW Undersecretary Felicitas Bay said in a Radyo Pilipinas report the agency is now focusing on the Full-Cycle National Reintegration Program, a comprehensive effort that provides assistance from the time an OFW prepares to leave the country, all the way to their return—regardless of whether they are documented or not.

The program includes financial literacy, livelihood assistance, skills training, and even psychosocial and wellness services to help OFWs reintegrate into society successfully.

As of March 2025, the DMW reported that 40,951 OFWs have already benefitted from reintegration services provided by the National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO).

To make these efforts more effective, the DMW is also strengthening partnerships with other government agencies such as OWWA, DOLE, TESDA, and DTI to provide seamless and continuous support for OFWs.
