DMW urges OFWs to arrive early at airport for exit clearance processing amid Typhoon Gaemi

The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has issued an advisory for all departing Balik-Manggagawa overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) with flights scheduled for today, July 24, 2024. The advisory urges OFWs who need immediate assistance in securing their OFW Pass or Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) to visit the DMW Migrant Workers Airport Assistance Center at least three hours before their flight departure.

This advance timing is recommended to ensure ample time for processing and issuance of necessary exit clearances.

To provide added comfort and convenience, the DMW has also highlighted the availability of exclusive and free-of-charge OFW Lounges located in NAIA Terminals 1 and 3. These lounges are open 24/7 to accommodate OFWs as they wait for their flights.

For any urgent assistance, OFWs can reach the DMW Public Information Assistance Center through the following contact numbers: 8722-1144 and 8722-1155.

This advisory comes in the wake of Typhoon Gaemi and a southwest monsoon affecting the Philippines, although international flights between the UAE and Manila continue to operate as scheduled.
