Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) can now use the OFW Pass service, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) announced. The upgraded DMW Mobile App, featuring the OFW Pass, is now available globally.
The mobile app service is accessible to OFWs in ten destination countries, offering a more efficient alternative to the traditional Overseas Employment Certificate previously required for departing workers.
Initially launched last year, the OFW Pass underwent pilot testing in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Singapore, Qatar, Oman, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, United Kingdom, and the Philippines. The app allows OFWs to create an e-registration account and obtain their information sheet, streamlining the process for Filipino workers abroad.
