Distressed OFWs in Doha receive P3M aid from DMW AKSYON Fund

Distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Doha, including those struggling with health conditions, received immediate financial support from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) following the visit of Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac.

A total of 44 OFWs were granted financial assistance worth Php 3 million to help cover personal and medical needs. The aid was released through the DMW’s AKSYON Fund, a program designed to provide urgent support to Filipinos abroad.

Cacdac emphasized that the initiative follows the clear directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to ensure the protection and welfare of migrant workers. He also underscored the government’s commitment to recognize the sacrifices of OFWs and provide comprehensive support, especially during times of crisis.
