A distracted driver caused a traffic accident at a pedestrian crossing in Abu Dhabi, as captured by the city’s police road cameras. The incident, shown in a 25-second video released by Abu Dhabi Police on Friday, involves a mini van colliding with a stationary taxi.
The taxi had stopped to allow pedestrians to cross and had its hazard lights on. Despite this, the mini van driver failed to notice the taxi in time and attempted to swerve at the last moment, resulting in a crash. Fortunately, the three pedestrians at the scene managed to avoid harm by noticing the van’s approach.
