The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Regional Welfare Office in Caraga extended fresh support this August to families left behind by Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who either passed away or were sentenced to death abroad.
Through the Educational and Livelihood Assistance Program (ELAP), eligible dependents received ₱15,000 worth of livelihood packages to help them start small businesses and secure a source of income.
The program aims to ease the struggles of bereaved families and remind them that their sacrifices are not overlooked. Beyond financial help, ELAP symbolizes a commitment to stand with the loved ones of OFWs who served as breadwinners and heroes in foreign lands.
