Demon Slayer’s next chapter to be adapted into trilogy of films

The popular anime series, Demon Slayer, concluded its fourth season on June 30, 2024, and fans were swiftly greeted with exciting news: the story will continue, not as a traditional fifth season, but through a series of films. These films will adapt the Infinity Castle Arc, a pivotal chapter from Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga.

A teaser trailer released right after the season finale takes viewers through the eerie corridors of Muzan Kibutsuji’s Infinity Castle and hints at the return of beloved characters. While no release date for the films has been announced, the expectation is that the entire cast will reprise their roles.

Characters expected to return include:

Tanjiro Kamado – Natsuki Hanae / Zach Aguilar (English)

Nezuko Kamado – Akari Kitô / Abby Trott (English)

Inosuke Hashibira – Yoshitsugu Matsuoka / Bryce Papenbrook (English)

Zenitsu Agatsuma – Hiro Shimono / Aleks Le (English)

Muzan Kibutsuji – Toshihiko Seki / Greg Chun (English)

Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka – Takahiro Sakurai / Johnny Yong Bosch (English)

Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji – Kana Hanazawa / Kira Buckland (English)

Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito – Kengo Kawanishi / Griffin Burns (English)

Flower Hashira, Kanae Kocho – Ai Kayano / Bridget Hoffman (English)

The Infinity Castle Arc is the penultimate chapter in the Demon Slayer saga, marking the first half of the epic ‘Final Battle Arc’ before leading into the Sunrise Countdown Arc, the manga’s concluding story. This highly anticipated adaptation is expected to deliver intense action and dramatic encounters, especially after the more subdued Hashira Training episodes of season four.
