A video showcasing Pakistani delivery rider, Waqas Sarwar, removing a stray road barrier from a bustling roundabout has gone viral, drawing the attention of the UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre).
Mohre, impressed by Sarwar’s responsible act, took to Twitter to commend him. “We have watched the video in which Mr. Waqas Sarwar appeared… We are proud of Waqas and everyone who does good work,” the ministry mentioned in a tweet.
The hero rider expressed surprise upon discovering his newfound fame. Sarwar said, “That’s when I realized my video had gone viral.” Despite the recognition and gifts, Sarwar emphasized that respect from the community meant the most to him.
Interestingly, this is not a standalone incident. Earlier this month, another delivery rider, Abdul Ghafoor, had his moment of fame for a similar act of kindness. He too was honored by Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
