Dedicated OFW from Dubai claims Mrs. Universe Philippines title, honors fellow overseas workers

An overseas Filipino worker (OFW) based in Dubai has been crowned Mrs. Universe Philippines FDN 2024. The coronation took place at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati on Sunday, August 25. Vehverly Gador represented the Filipino Community of the Middle East, making her victory a source of pride for many OFWs.

Gador expressed her joy and gratitude in a heartfelt Facebook post following her win, highlighting her deep faith and the support she received from her loved ones. “Proof of another MIRACLE IN MY LIFE😇 My DEEPEST FAITH IN GOD brought me this far. Winning the Mrs. Universe Philippines title is a dream come true, and I am beyond grateful for the overwhelming love and support that has brought me to this moment,” she wrote.

She dedicated her victory to her daughter, stating, “First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude to my daughter. You are my inspiration, my strength, and my reason for striving to be the best version of myself every single day. This victory is as much yours as it is mine. Your unwavering love and belief in me have carried me through every challenge, and I dedicate this title to you.”

Gador also extended her thanks to fellow OFWs in the Middle East, acknowledging their sacrifices and dedication. “I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the overseas Filipino workers in the Middle East. I am in awe of your resilience, your dedication, and your incredible sacrifices. You are the unsung heroes, working tirelessly to provide for your families and building a better future for our nation. This crown is a tribute to your strength and spirit. I hope to use this platform to raise awareness and advocate for the rights and well-being of all OFWs across the globe,” she added.

She concluded her post by thanking her supporters and emphasizing her commitment to using her title to uplift and empower others. “To everyone who has been a part of this journey—my family, friends, mentors, and supporters—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your encouragement and faith in me have been my guiding light. This title is not just a crown on my head, but a reminder of the responsibility to uplift, empower, and inspire others. I am honored to carry this torch and to represent the incredible women of the Philippines on the global stage.”
